Drug Addiction - The curse of Modern Days

What is Addiction:-

It is true man feel pleasure through addiction. Such as through drinking of alcohol, smoking or taking drugs. From the ancient time, it is habituated with our civilization. People from all over the globe have shown this addiction. But nowadays we should be conscious entirely about its deadly effects.

Drug addiction has become a great problem in the twenty-first century. It has no class bar and people from almost every nation and their society has become addicted to drug all over the world. It has become a serious problem for social life – for the well-being of the whole human race.

So, at last, we have come to know the bad sides of this addiction and how it spoils man- how it slowly but steadily killing our feature generations.

Kinds of Drugs:-

Drug addiction means addiction to intoxicating drugs. They are simply produced from opium. There are many brands of these intoxicating drugs. Like heroin, cocaine, morphine, LSD, charas and the like same. These are getting hugely popular nowadays. Mostly younger section of the people – both boys and girls are affected. We often know that due to consuming poisonous liquor some citizen dies here and there. Any unformed death is painful. But if the liquor been basilisk they might not have died.

Harmful Aspects of Drug Addiction:-

In our modern life drinking has almost become a status symbol in our daily life. Especially in underdeveloped countries, this has become a huge challenge. The drug affects our society and a person in many ways.

•    Immature death caused due to drinking poisonous liquor is almost like an accident. A little bit of use of alcohol may not cause death for a man. But due to addiction death is not only a simple but just a miserable death.

•    Mostly teenagers are hardly affected by drugs. It brings drowsiness, causes hallucinations.

•    It creates an immaterial world – which provides relief feelings from all mental agonies.

•    Many people lose their energy, strength, stamina, and concentration.

•    It makes all consumers an escapist from hard-core real life. The consumer falls in love with such an unrealistic condition. He became more addicted and breaks all social rules, at the end if he is denied the use of it, he may commit suicide.

Mostly the drug addicted is young boys and girls from reputed families. The addicted persons becoming the victim of a situation and once they addicted they fail to recover. Ultimately frustration spoiled the consumers. This habits developed greatly among the younger generation and they are getting more and more addicted to drugs. This has become a profitable business. Some unfair businessmen and the anti-social elements take possession of this opportunity to make a growing business with it. Drugs are now sold everywhere in street corners, parks, in river banks and even in the premises of educational institutions. Although the drug is a bleach listed one, these goods are generally sold in darkness but they very often come into the light and sometimes are sold in open daylight. These drugs are very expensive. Smugglers smuggle these from many foreign countries. There is no trader can have the trade license for selling these items and it is prohibited in the community. Yet it has a very profitable market and the young generation enjoys these with pleasure. But unfortunately, they enjoy it at cost of their own lives.

Social Responsibilities:-

Drug addiction has become a social problem in these days. Our younger generation is severely affected by this addiction. It will be a great injustice to them. They are not totally responsible for this situation. Their parents, the government, school, college, and the whole society- all are responsible for this.

Parents: - Their parents are often scientifically running higher positions, status and good salaried service. Sometimes they do not feel the child's mind. This artificial atmosphere damaging childhood. And for this uncanny pressure, they often grab these killing drugs.

Educational institutions: - Now and then educational institutions are faltering to present real education to the students. The main aim of education and duty in our society are sometimes not correctly described to the young students. So, students make a great mistake.

The Government: - Unemployment has become a burning issue in many countries. This affects our daily life. The young generation is frustrated and does a negative performance. The governments have failed to provide them with employment and hope for a better tomorrow. Likewise, society is not presenting any better tomorrow for these youngsters. Hence, drug addiction is a sickness in which everybody has equal obligation.

Steps:-

The big question is how to free the young generation from this bad habit. It is no longer a light problem, rather it should be taken very seriously. All the governments around the world have already been taken seriously. It is very good news for our society. Nowadays the police department has opened the anti-narcotic cell. They work harder to prevent the illegal business of drugs and stopping their consumption. School, college and University authorities are becoming aware of this bad habit among the students. The government is taking some strict steps to stop this poisonous practice. Different volunteer organizations have come forward to defend the use of drugs. Some famous psychologists and physician come forward with helping hands to improve the condition of these drug addicts. They try their level best to bring them back into the normal healthy lifestyle. An awareness against drug addiction has been created among the mass people. Parents are getting more conscious about this bad habit and prevent their children. Our society is becoming conscious day to day, this is a huge achievement against drug addiction.

Finally, all these steps are not all. Continuous proclaiming in all type of mass media gains public awareness. When they more and more animated about the evil side of this addiction, it will give positive results. It requires a healthy character building among young men and women. There is nothing impossible for human. Good character, public awareness, and confidence may abolish drug addiction from our society.
